It may be the final few months of Emma Hayes’ tenure with Chelsea Women, but the vibes are immaculate. This is even without Guro Reiten and Millie Bright at this moment in time. There are just five matches left across all competitions before the club gets over a month off for winter break. In the league, it’s all about maintaining the position as the pacesetter.

The Blues roll into its last league fixture in November at Kingsmeadow to take on a different Leicester City team than many are used. That’s right, this isn’t the LCFC side fighting for survival. Well, at least for now. The west Midlands side is not making up the back end of this WSL race, its standing its ground at this level.

The west Londoners are riding a four-match Women’s Super League streak in which it has netted three or more goals. Talk about a relentless offense. That’s the definition of it. Liverpool, a similar side to the Foxes being one that has significantly improved from last season walked out of west London like almost everyone has in years past.

No matter how well the east Midlands outfit has performed against some of the league’s best, the Blues have simply put opponents like it in its place. In the last four matches, if you can believe it, the west London side has outscored the Foxes 30-0. No, it’s not time to get new glasses. Sure, you can wipe them off, but it’s not going to change those numbers. You read that correctly. Keep that in mind heading into Sunday, but remember what LCFC has shown in the matches leading up to this weekend.
