The Pride of London comment on a claim that the contemporary Chelsea squad is currently valued at €999 million. Along with naming the three, supposed, most valuable stars. And Ecuadorian player Moises Caicedo speaks to ChelseaFC.com.

Just a million away from a billion, eh? Wow. For what has been spent by the modern and past CFC ownership, this is an interesting figure indeed. We need to take a look at the widely referenced Transfermarkt to learn about the staggering previously mentioned amount. Maybe Todd Boehly’s £1bn spending spree will eventually pay off as players mature – if the roster is accurately valued at almost €1bn.

But which prominent Blues are worth the most? According to Transfermarkt, Caicedo is the highest priced CFC star at a suggested €90m. Christopher Nkunku and Enzo Fernandez are in joint-second place at an estimated €80m each.

Speaking of Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo

Caicedo was not risked in the starting lineup for the forgettable – at least in Blues fans’ minds – Newcastle United fixture on Saturday. The Ecuador international was brought on as a substitute as the game went. But didn’t really influence proceedings, like so many of his Chels’ teammates. However, the midfield dynamo will likely make a return to the first XI to face his one-time side, Brighton & Hove Albion. CFC boss Mauricio Pochettino explains the circumstances leading to his player being omitted here.

Caicedo has now revealed more of his personality with Chelsea Football Club’s official matchday programme team. The ex-Seagull said something that will please the Blues fan base. Essentially, the 22-year-old stated that the west London team was the only one for him. Caicedo also talks of a fondness for two legendary CFC midfielders: N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele. Among many other topics, the Santo Domingo-born man spoke of learning his trade on the streets of Ecuador.
