Chelsea were expected to be tormented by November’s fixtures but the boys worked their fingers to the bone and were unbeaten until the Newcastle game. The Magpies enjoyed near total domination in the second half over a distinctly average travelling side at St. James Park.

The Blues will have to move on from that heavy 4-1 loss which was a tough row to hoe and ensure that they don’t drop a lot points this month where the fixtures are congested but favorable. Because like the Gaffer said,

"“We need to believe [#UCL qualification] is realistic. It’s going to be tough. The most important is not to see the end of the season, it’s to focus on today and not tomorrow. That’s one of the aspects we were working on this week.”"

Brighton too are going through an injury crisis and could be travelling to the Bridge without a handful of players. On the other hand, Christopher Nkunku could be in line to make his Chelsea debut after recovering from the injury he picked in preseason. Romeo Lavia too will be back sooner than later.

Predicted Chelsea XI (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper: Robert Sanchez (Spain)

Sanchez made his 100th Premier League appearance last week but still doesn’t look experienced enough. The Spaniard has conceded 12 goals in the last three games itself and if the situation does not improve, the recruitment team will be forced to land a new no.1 before the start of next season.
