Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was one of the best players on the field in the first leg and it’s a shame his performance wasn’t rewarded with a goal. He had the most successful dribbles in the match and was second only to Jadon Sancho in player rating according to FotMob.
Given that he wasn’t used in the draw against Ipswich Town we expect Dewsbury-Hall to start in the second leg and he will be a vital part of turning defense into attack. As we mentioned we expect Legia to come out and attack and Dewsbury-Hall will be able to use his long range passing skills to find runners in behind when he wins the ball back in midfield.
It sounds like an insult but we assure you it’s not that we believe Dewsbury-Hall has found his level in the UEFA Conference League. He has struggled to really make an impact in the Premier League but has been excellent in the UECL with 3 goals and an assist in 9 matches.
KDH scored the tie-sealing goal against FC Copenhagen in the round of 16 and was peppering the Legia goal with shots from range that nearly went in. He should be an odds-on favorite to score a goal on Thursday and we expect him to be a key player as Chelsea look to move on to the semifinals.
