Chelsea's season continued to unravel this week with a draw against Bournemouth. As a result, Liverpool, who had been so poor for the majority of the campaign, are now ahead of the Blues. On the other hand, Manchester United are on the same number of points and based on form, it is only a matter of time before they overtake Enzo Maresca's side as well.
It is safe to say that Chelsea need to get their act together. Otherwise, all the good work done so far during the Maresca era will be undone. In fact, questions are now being raised about the Italian's future at the club. One has to wonder how long it will take for the sporting directors to come under some real pressure as well, for how poor a job they have done, failing to assemble a Champions League roster despite spending over a billion pounds.
One way Chelsea can save their season is by adding some real quality to the squad in the winter. It remains to be seen if they do that or continue to recruit youngsters, with the same promise that they will be one of the top teams in Europe one day, but never today.
Anyways, there are some players who look set for the exit door as well. And AS Roma seem to be exploring a deal for one of them.
AS Roma in negotiations to sign Chelsea player permanently
As reported by Daniele Longo, AS Roma are in negotiations with Chelsea to sign Disasi on a permanent deal. There is heavy competition from Lyon and Paris FC.
Disasi has been completely out of plans since the start of the season, not making a single appearance. So, it is vital that he finds himself a new club in the summer.
Chelsea cannot send him out on loan to a club outside of the league though. So, a permanent exit is the only solution here.
