Forwards and Wingers
Cole Palmer: 7.5/10
Palmer was not Chelsea's best player on the night this time around. He won the majority of his duels, helped the Blues keep the ball in the final third, while also helping to get it there. He missed a big chance, wasting an opportunity to put the away side ahead.
Christopher Nkunku: 6/10
Nkunku did quite well at left wing for Chelsea against the Villains. He was able to disrupt their buildup, especially in the first half. He did well to contend with the very big, strong Villa centerbacks. Many fans complained about his performance after the game, but he was not bad, and the loss means fans would just be harsher when evaluating players.
Pedro Neto: 8/10
Neto was extremely effective in the final third. Granted, he was not useful anywhere else. Neto took the joint-most shots and shots on target. He created more chances than anyone else on the pitch. His crossing was impeccable.
