Substitutes and Manager
Tosin Adarabioyo (8'): 7/10
Tosin's reading of the game was exceptional, but he was poor in his duels. The former Fulham defender led everyone on the pitch in clearances (7) and interceptions (3). His long-passing was abysmal, though.
Jadon Sancho (76'): 7/10
Sancho only did slightly worse than the man he replaced. He didn't do much in the final third, but compared to Nkunku, many fans would have preferred the Manchester United loanee.
Enzo Maresca: 5/10
Looking more closely at the numbers from the game, it's clear that Chelsea had a better first half than second. The reason it's Maresca's fault is that this has been a theme all season long. He is also the reason Filip Jorgensen is in goal, which is an issue because he is the second-best keeper on the roster.
Some fans have expressed sympathy for the Italian manager, stating that he was not 'backed' in the January transfer window. The issue with that talking point is that there are many players on the roster who aren't useful to the club, and those players are here solely because of Maresca. Even Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was on the bench but was an unused substitute. The manager who brought him in preferred to leave three substitutes unused.
