More often than not, we see players leave the Premier League in order to complete dream moves to Barcelona or Real Madrid. Chelsea have been on the wrong end of that on more than one occasion. The likes of Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard and Antonio Rudiger left for Los Blancos in recent years. Andreas Christensen made the move to Camp Nou.

This time around, there seems to be a twist in the tale. A striker is currently making a name for himself in La Liga. But it looks like he dreams of a move to Chelsea, having grown up watching Didier Drogba.

The player we are talking about is none other than Etta Eyong. The 22-year-old Cameroon international has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 12 La Liga appearances this season.

As reported by GIVEMESPORT, Eyong said about his love for Chelsea:

"Growing up, Chelsea was the English team I probably watched the most because of Drogba, and Eto'o was there a year as well. Chelsea have often signed incredible African players. There are so many big clubs in England, but as for [joining] Chelsea, why not? It would be a dream for me to play for Chelsea."

Eyong is exactly the type of player that Chelsea have signed in recent years, staying away from experience and proven quality. He is 22 years of age, showing a ton of potential and playing for Levante. So, he is a rising talent with room for improvement.

That being said, it is hard to imagine that Chelsea would make a move for Eyong at this point in time. They already have Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu up top. Also, Emanuel Emegha is set to arrive from Strasbourg next year. And they have also been linked with Joaquin Panichelli too.

Also, the situation of Nicolas Jackson is not completely clear. Bayern Munich have a significant obligation to buy clause in that deal but it only becomes active if he starts a certain number of matches. So far, he has only started five times for the Bavarians and it is unlikely that that number, which is believed to be a significant one, will be met.

So, the timing does not seem to work out for Chelsea in terms of a potential move for Eyong. That being said, you never know what could happen in football.
