3. Winger selection dilemma and Madueke’s return
Even though Noni Madueke was fit, he started on the bench last Thursday before entering the field during the second half. In his limited time, he looked fine and ready to play more minutes. It was Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto who were the preferred wingers on that day.
The Portuguese should retain his place considering the form of him and Sancho. With Mykhailo Mudryk still out and Christopher Nkunku very disappointing during his recent starts, Chelsea fans will be glad to have Madueke back in the playing XI.
Madueke's presence will also help Cole Palmer, as the pair have combined for several goals. Having Jackson and Madueke is important for Chelsea not only in terms of their ability but also because it allows Palmer to play more freely and effectively.
