4. Squad rotation ahead of European clash

Chelsea have a big European fixture on Thursday in the UEFA Conference League. They head to Poland to face Legia Warszawa in the quarter-finals. In a tournament they are expected to win, Enzo Maresca will be hoping for a good first leg. However, they cannot take their eyes off the Premier League Champions League qualification race either.

As seen from the previous round in the continental competition, Chelsea prefers to pick their first-choice players in the league. So far, it has worked in Europe as they have won all their matches. It is also vital, as it will be difficult for players to start three games in a week at this time of the season.

The only expected change in the lineup is Noni Madueke getting his first start since early February. Reece James starting instead of Malo Gusto can also not be ruled out. The rest of the team had done well against Tottenham Hotspur to earn another start.
