Negatives
1. Poor First Half
For the second match in a row against Copenhagen, Chelsea endured a dreadful first half. Last week, they at least managed two shots in the opening 45 minutes, but at Stamford Bridge, they failed to register a single attempt.
Enzo Maresca’s side struggled to string passes together, while the visitors played with confidence. Had Copenhagen managed to score, Chelsea would have faced a far more difficult task.
With a trip to Arsenal up next, another sluggish first half could spell disaster. Unlike Copenhagen, Arsenal will not let Chelsea off the hook. With multiple teams competing for a Champions League spot, heading into the international break outside the top four would not bode well for the club.
