Goalkeeper and Defense

Robert Sanchez: 7.5/10

Sanchez seems to have regained his starting spot from Filip Jorgensen, something that should have surprised no one, considering that the Spaniard is currently the best shot-stopper at the club. Sanchez repaid the faith with a clean sheet. Contrary to what many Chelsea fans say, Sanchez has been a net positive for the Blues, and even if you want to make the case that he needs to be replaced, until a goalkeeper better than him comes in, he should be the number one.

Wesley Fofana: 7/10

Fofana returned to the starting lineup to the delight of many Chelsea fans. It was his first game since December 1. He was solid, especially in his duels. His passing was very good. It's no surprise he played just 73 minutes, as it would not be wise to make him play 90 minutes on his first game back from injury.

Tosin Adarabioyo: 7/10

Tosin was not good out of possession. He won an underwhelming 2/5 aerial duels, and his long passing was uncharacteristically poor. He should be doing much better in the air, given his height. He did, however, make more interceptions than almost anyone else. He was important to the build-up, as usual.

Levi Colwill: 7.5/10

Colwill was much better in his long passing and was, in fact, phenomenal in the air. He was much worse in his ground duels, though, and made an alarming number of fouls (4), especially for a center-back. He's usually much better in ground duels, and considering the opponent, more was expected from him.

Marc Cucurella: 8/10

Cucurella deserves credit for scoring the winning goal, as the only clear-cut chance the Blues had to score was the penalty kick Cole Palmer missed. This means Enzo Maresca's men did not create any big chances in open play. Other than the goal, Cucurella was solid too, winning most of his duels.
