Manager and Substitutes

Enzo Maresca - 7: Overall satisfactory for him. Went in there, took care of business in a much-needed way, didn’t fold or tremble under pressure, and was able to feature four teenagers at the end of the match. Hopefully this builds confidence for the squad and Maresca ahead of a matchup against his former club in Leicester City, sandwiched by two legs against F.C. København in the UEFA Conference League Round of 16.

KDH – 6. Hardly noticeable after coming on for Pedro Neto in the 68th minute. Good on him for getting a kick about with the boys.

George – 7. Nice cross in his first few minutes after coming on for Jadon Sancho in the 68th minute with another nice one leading to Marc Cucurella's goal in the 78th minute. Impressing in recent appearances and could be earning more minutes with his play.

Josh Acheampong – N/A : Came on in the 83rd minute for Nkunku, not much chance to make an impact.

Mathis Amougou – N/A: Came on in the 83rd minute for Caicedo.

Mhueka - N/A: The 17 year old made his Chelsea debut on the day and it was pretty crazy that his first touch was a free back post header seconds after being subbed on. Would’ve been a pretty cool moment if he scored that but alas it was saved by Aaron Ramsdale.
