The two best clubs in London—Chelsea, the Pride of London, and Arsenal, the Gunners—are set to extend their rivalry to the transfer market once again. This time, both London giants are competing for highly rated Sporting CP centre-back Ousmane Diomande.

Chelsea have been monitoring the player for some time and were linked with him in the previous transfer window. According to CaughtOffside, both clubs are confident of securing a deal for the classy 21-year-old.

Diomande joined Sporting Lisbon in January 2023 from FC Midtjylland for a fee of around €7.5 million. He has played 36 games this season, including nine appearances in the Champions League.

The 21-year-old powerhouse has a big future ahead of him, and he is regarded as one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe. Top clubs like Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United have all been closely monitoring him.
