By this point, Arsenal are pretty used to signing players from Chelsea. The likes of Kai Havertz, Jorginho, Raheem Sterling and Kepa Arrizabalaga have all made that trip across London over the past couple of seasons. Historically speaking, the likes of Petr Cech, William Gallas, David Luiz, Willian, Lassana Diarra and Yossi Benayoun have taken that journey. That is quite the list when it comes to city rivals.

Could Noni Madueke become the next man to join that list? That is starting to feel like a real possibility right now, as the English winger continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal.

Madueke was a regular starter at Chelsea last season and with Arsenal having Bukayo Saka, one has to wonder how much time he would get if he did make the move. But then, there are some question marks over his future at Stamford Bridge as well.

Pedro Neto is ahead of him in the pecking order on the right flank and the Portuguese winger seems to be getting better with his output, having scored consistently at the Club World Cup. On the other hand, Estevao is coming in this summer and there are high hopes surrounding the Brazilian talent. Where does that leave Madueke? He has played on the opposite wing but the Blues are set to sign Jamie Gittens there, who is more of a natural fit as he is right-footed.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Madueke is open to joining Arsenal. There is no bid to Chelsea yet.

It is believed that Chelsea will be looking for a transfer fee in the region of £50 million to part ways with Madueke. That could prove to be a pretty decent figure when you consider he arrived for half of that and could end up being a squad player next season if things click with Estevao and Gittens.

For now, Madueke is a Chelsea player. And one would hope that he remains focused on the Club World Cup despite the speculation around his future.
