Players to Monitor

Roberto Sánchez

Roberto Sánchez returned zero points last game week after receiving a yellow card in addition to conceding three goals.

Sánchez has accumulated 52 points this season, ranking sixth among goalkeepers despite having played one game fewer than his peers. He was rested midweek against Astana, with Maresca handing Filip Jörgensen another start in the UEFA Conference League match.

Although Chelsea have a favourable fixture list and should secure a few clean sheets, Sánchez's recent performances raise concerns. It wouldn’t be surprising if Maresca decides to bench him in some of these matches.

Jadon Sancho

Sancho has now scored in back-to-back Premier League games for Chelsea and is brimming with confidence. He showcased his skills against Spurs, dribbling inward from the left wing to pull a goal back for Chelsea before they took control of proceedings.

Sancho is now ahead of Mudryk and Félix in the pecking order and could deliver more returns against a road-shy opponent like Brentford this game week.

Captain

Palmer has not blanked twice at Stamford Bridge this season – against City and Arsenal. The former Manchester City man has now scored 83 points in eight games at home, averaging 10.4 points per game at Stamford Bridge.

The playmaker has now returns 39 points in this last three game week – the highest in the league. Based of his last performance against Aston Villa, Southampton and Spurs, he is a top choice for the armband in this encounter against West London rivals.
