Over the years, we have seen a lot of emerging players struggle to make it at Real Madrid despite their unquestionable talent. Some never find their feet at the senior level as a result of not finding early opportunities at Santiago Bernabeu and then having to move. On the other hand, there are those who thrive after leaving. And one such player appears to have caught the attention of Chelsea.

Chelsea have been busy signing the best young talents from around the world over the last few years. One name that certainly falls under that category is that of Nico Paz.

Paz came up through the ranks at Real Madrid but never got a proper chance at Santiago Bernabeu. Since moving to Como, he has been a revelation though and is starting to emerge as a superstar in Italian football.

In seven appearances in the Serie A this season, he has scored four goals and assisted four times as well. Those are phenomenal numbers from the 21-year-old. And unsurprisingly, it is not just Chelsea that want to sign him.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Inter Milan, Juventus, Chelsea and Arsenal are all following the path of Paz. But Real Madrid have the option of signing him next summer for €8 million.

This is a strategy that Real Madrid have followed for years now. They sanction the departures of talented youngsters, but only after putting in a hefty sell-on percentage and a buyback clause in the deal.

As a result, if the youngster develops into a top player in the senior game, Real Madrid can bring him back easily. Or they can get a significant sell-on fee if he joins another team. So, it is a win-win situation for them, and once again, that has turned out to be the case when it comes to Paz.
