Chelsea man upset with Southampton amid Shearer's positive prediction
A Chelsea loan player is clearly upset with his temporary situation. Lesley Ugochukwu is currently with Premier League strugglers Southampton. So, why is this young midfielder unsatisfied with his club at the moment? Is the resentment justifiable? And will Ugochukwu eventually come back to Stamford Bridge with a chance at cracking the CFC first XI?
Meanwhile the west Londoners have a supposedly tough match against Aston Villa on Sunday lunchtime. The home team will be confident of victory after an increasingly impressive campaign so far under latest boss Enzo Maresca. While Villa have found it very hard juggling the English top flight with European football. Namely the testing environment of the elite Champions League competition.
Did former England striker Alan Shearer agree with me that the Fulham Road outfit should defeat Unai Emery's men in their contemporary state? What is the Newcastle United icon's exact prediction for the weekend's fixture? Let's get to it!
Lesley Ugochukwu had brighter Chelsea future under Mauricio Pochettino than Enzo Maresca?
There is no doubting that Ugochukwu could make it at the top. His talent is somewhat measurable in a subjective way by the faith shown in him as a 19-year-old under Pochettino, the former Blues gaffer.
Presumably the return of the fairly precocious Romeo Lavia, Ugochukwu's chances diminished. Even with Cesare Casadei down the pecking order and Carney Chukwuemeka not trusted, Ugochukwu is nowhere to be seen.
That's because the 20-year-old was shipped out to relegation-favourites Southampton for the 2024/25 campaign. Clubs usually do this in order to have a promising prospect gain further EPL experience. Well, Ugochukwu isn't really playing under Russell Martin.
And Ugochukwu did actually feature on plenty of occasions in the preeminent division for 'Poch' last season. It seems to me that Maresca deemed this up-and-coming baller surplus to requirements at the Bridge.
Will Ugochukwu return? Possibly. But with literally two full teams of CFC players who are both doing well, I can only see a permanent switch. That'll possibly mean going to the Championship for the Rennes, France-born man.
"Lesley Ugochukwu has wiped all traces of Southampton from his Instagram account in an apparent protest against his lack of game time."

Alan Shearer's forecast for Blues vs Aston Villa
Shearer is known to be quite accurate with his predictions. And this one is no different, if you ask me. He will be well aware that Chels can rise to second in the league table if favourable results materialise.
The ex-England captain has noticed that the Villans are not in their stride at the moment. Therefore he made this prophecy for the upcoming clash:
"I think I’ll go for a Chelsea win with the form they’re in. I think they’ll take the points."
