Chelsea player does not fit Liam Rosenior's system

It looks like one Chelsea player does not fit Liam Rosenior's system following the 5-1 win vs Charlton.

Chelsea fans got an introduction to Liam Rosenior's system in the win against Charlton in the FA Cup. Many might claim that it was Championship opposition, especially one sitting 19th in the table. But then again, we have seen the Blues struggle against lower league teams in the past. League One side Lincoln City gave them plenty of problems earlier in the campaign. So, they have to take the result with a feeling of positivity.

The real test for Rosenior will be in midweek when Chelsea face Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's side might not be playing great football this season, but they seem to have perfected the art of finding ways to win.

Chelsea will need to put their best foot forward if they are to have any hope of getting a win against Arsenal. And one player who should not be starting on that day, especially based on his performance against Charlton, is Benoit Badiashile.

Badiashile never really looked comfortable. He was shown a yellow card in the first half and could have very easily been sent off for a second challenge, but fortunately, the referee did not think so.

As reported by The Chelsea Chronicle, Pat Nevin said on BBC's coverage of the game:

"You can tell that Benoit Badiashile is a bit nervous and he is giving the ball away often. I do feel sorry for a player who is playing so far out of his comfort zone."

Badiashile is someone who has put in some decent performances from time to time. The one against Liverpool from earlier in the season is a great example, when for a little while, it had looked like Chelsea had found the answer to their defensive issues.

Unfortunately, he has never managed to perform at a high level for any consistent length of time. The Frenchman has not been helped by his injury problems either, as he has picked up consistent knocks and issues since arriving at Stamford Bridge. It does not feel like he will ever develop into a starter for the Blues.
