Chelsea's injury problems are well-documented. It has prevented them from making a serious challenge in the title race. One would imagine that the Blues would be in a much better place right now if they had the likes of Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill available. One can only hope that this does not turn out to be a serious injury and that Gittens is back available as soon as possible. It comes at the worst possible time for him.
Gittens has made a poor start to life at Chelsea, since his move from Borussia Dortmund, but he is starting to find a bit of form lately. The winger had put in a Man of the Match performance in the win over Ajax and was phenomenal in the away game against Wolves, scoring a goal and providing a couple of assists.
The good news for Chelsea is that Alejandro Garnacho has been doing well recently as well. He has scored a couple of goals and assisted twice in his last four outings. Tyrique George looks in good touch too. So, one would hope that the Blues have enough cover in that area.
