The January transfer window is going to be an interesting one for Chelsea. They have had an up-and-down season so far. They have picked up some big results, including wins against Barcelona and Liverpool. But at the same time, we have witnessed their lack of consistency as well, losing against out-of-form teams to undo a lot of the good work they had done.

Despite this, it is expected that Chelsea won't be too active in the upcoming January transfer window. Of course, having been handed a fine by UEFA in the summer, there are certain limitations that they must stick to.

At the same time, there are those who could be eyeing the exit door. Names like Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi have been on the transfer list for a long time. Now, it is time to add another name to that list. In this instance though, the player seems more interested in leaving than the club are in parting ways with him.

As reported by CaughtOffside, Tyrique George is now actively pushing for a permanent move away. He is believed to be frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities at Chelsea.

Unlike Sterling and Disasi, George has actually remained in the first-team picture at Chelsea even though he saw a late summer exit collapse. But that does not seem to have been enough to convince him that Stamford Bridge is the place to be.

To be fair, he is not getting consistent chances at the moment. And with players like Geovany Quenda and Kendry Paez set to arrive in the future, those chances are not expected to increase moving forward.

So, leaving might be the best option for George. He is a talent for sure. But he does not look like someone who will be able to get consistent starting minutes at Chelsea at this point in his career.
