One of the most interesting things about Chelsea since their change of ownership has been the club's ownership. They have focused solely on bringing in youngsters, overlooking experience and proven quality almost entirely. So much so that a 27-year-old Tosin Adarabioyo, with little top-level experience of his own, has had to take up the role of dressing room leader.

It almost feels like an experiment when it comes to running football clubs. And soon enough, we shall find out if it works or not.

For now, the Blues are going to be adding to their recruitment team. As reported by The Athletic, former Liverpool director of scouting and recruitment Dave Fallows is likely to join Chelsea.

Fallows spent more than a decade as the head of scouting at Liverpool and played a key role in turning around the fortunes of the club during the Jurgen Klopp era. Could he bring similar success to Chelsea as well?

Fallows is in discussions with Chelsea. He would be expected to work in partnership with Paul Winstanley, Laurence Stewart, Joe Shields and Sam Jewell. The 45-year-old's role would include scouting, player pathways and football development.

Of course, it remains to be seen if the move does end up going through or not. And if it does, will it result in any change in Chelsea's style of recruitment? Or is this just a matter of adding on top of it and continuing on the same path?

To be honest, it feels like Chelsea do need to change a few things up to be more successful in the coming years. Yes, signing the top youngsters in the world is a good strategy but it is also important to surround them with the right kind of experienced players in order to help with their development. Otherwise, there will be stumbling blocks. This team's discipline record can certainly be considered one of them as they are picking up red cards for fun right now.
