Chelsea's dispute with Liverpool and Man United escalates
Chelsea Football Club's apparent dispute with fellow Premier League sides, and close rivals, Liverpool and Manchester United has seemingly escalated over the previous week. That's if media reporting is wholly accurate, as we always say. The west Londoners supposedly rebuffed scouting requests at Cobham Training Ground from the Reds as well as the Merseysiders' mortal foe, the Red Devils. What caused the latest round of problems between the eminent trio of teams, where no love is ever truly lost?
In the meantime we briefly examine some international action from the week. Many Blues were competing for their countries over the last fortnight. So how did one CFC star specifically get on for his respective nation? And what was said about that particular Chels' man after a "stellar" match for his country amid uneven form for the Stamford Bridge outfit?
More Enzo Fernandez talk
The Pride of London is in the same boat as everyone else when it comes to knowing just how to extract the best from Fernandez. We don't. If you ask me, he has pulled his weight for Chelsea since joining. Although his performances are way below the standard for someone of his abilities.
The Argentine World Cup-winner must improve, especially when you think of just how staggeringly large his transfer fee was! Though eliminating him from the CFC starting lineup, or roster in general, would likely develop into a mistake when the 23-year-old reaches his domestic peak.
However, I'll freely admit that I am reluctant to continue discussing Fernandez's debatable role and inconsistent displays every single time he takes to the field for the English capital outfit. It is obvious that he should be deployed in the deep-lying midfield position: like Andrea Pirlo but with more bite. Just read this piece for illumination.
Chelsea squabble with Liverpool and Manchester United - what a surprise!
The fact that these three juggernauts of the EPL are in conflict, on or off the pitch, will shock absolutely nobody at all. Though this fresh argument and subsequent ramifications will be of interest to those following the game closely.
You see, Chels are said to have banned Liverpool and Man United scouts from attending academy clashes. Which is something that was standard practice until now.
Meanwhile, and similarly, it is reported that LFC have stopped the Blues doing likewise by rejecting their accreditation. The quarrel emerged when Chelsea 'lost' starlet Rio Ngumoha to the Merseyside club this year.
