Discussing Chelsea Football Club's top earners of the 2024/25 season is a startling, worrying and almost unfathomable task. Yet we are here to do these tough and shocking things for the Blues fan base. In all seriousness, you'll be absolutely amazed to learn just which players (not stars) earn £100,000-per-week at least. Some of these ballers don't actually feature regularly in the starting line-up - or often the squad at large. While a few in that bracket, or those earning as much as £1m-a-month are, or were, essentially outcasts and bomb squad members.
We also reveal the highest paid list from the west London outfit. Even in that instance, an injury-ravaged baller leads proceedings. Finding a balance off the pitch seems to be very difficult for the current inexperienced and divided ownership group. There is a lot of muck to rake - so we better get stuck in. Who's got the most money on the CFC roster? Let's get to it!
What? He gets paid how much?
Before we start, I better do the obligatory disclaimer. Everyone The Pride of London is about to mention works hard for their money. And they are entitled to it, I'm sure. These are my views on the matter. That being said, let's hear those opinions!
First of all, Carney Chukwuemeka. Ultimately a very talented but unproven Premier League mainstay for any team - what does the 21-year-old actually take home? Well, this may surprise or upset you: his bank account is richer by £100,000 every seven days. Wow.
Yes, he is highly regarded and a decent prospect. Though this is an obscene amount to outlay in securing someone young and basically not playing brilliantly every week. With links to Barcelona, the Blues hierarchy must have been convinced by CFC recruitment that Chukwuemeka is a worthy investment.
Next up, and worryingly, Ben Chilwell. The left back also has calibre and is further proven at top level than the aforementioned versatile midfielder. Although Chilwell has actually played for the senior England team and is seemingly experienced in every competition, some consider him rather weak.
Clearly boss at the Bridge, Enzo Maresca, doesn't believe the former Leicester City man has what it takes to be in his side. Nor has Chilwell broken into the squad as a ready substitute in any real way.
Yet the 27-year-old is paid a ridiculous and unrealistic £200k every week. What a waste. He should be shipped out on an all-expenses-covered loan, or sold immediately in January if you ask me.
