Raheem Sterling

Sterling was Todd Boehly’s first marquee signing in 2022, arriving with the expectation of providing leadership and experience. However, his performances have been inconsistent, failing to live up to his reputation. Now on loan at Arsenal, Sterling is set to return at the end of the season, but his future at Chelsea appears bleak.

Armando Broja

The Albanian striker, another Cobham product, has struggled for consistency at Chelsea due to injuries and underwhelming loan spells. The club has attempted to offload him on multiple occasions, only securing temporary moves. However, summer 2025 could finally see Broja leave on a permanent basis.

David Datro Fofana

Signed with high expectations, Fofana has yet to establish himself at Chelsea, spending time on loan at Union Berlin, Burnley, and Göztepe. A severe knee injury in January ruled him out for the remainder of the season, and he has since returned to Chelsea for rehabilitation. Once fit, the club is expected to seek a permanent transfer for the Ivorian forward.

As Chelsea continue their squad overhaul, departures are inevitable. While nothing is set in stone, these ten players appear the most likely candidates to make way as the club reshapes its squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
