England – Levi Colwill, Reece James, Cole Palmer (doubtful)
As of today Cole Palmer is still not officially out of the England squad after he picked up a small injury ahead of the Arsenal match. Palmer missed that match entirely after the injury and is still with the club but no official announcement has been made. We would be surprised however if he does end up traveling with the England squad.
Reece James makes his return to the England squad after his recent battle with injuries. The Chelsea captain is enjoying a great run of form and is exploring a new role as a defensive midfielder with the Blues. He will likely play fullback if he is chosen by his old manager Thomas Tuchel as the German prefers him in that role.
Levi Colwill is the latest in the line of Chelsea centerbacks to man the middle of the defense for England, following in the footsteps of John Terry, Gary Cahill, and more. Colwill is growing into his role as a leader on the Blues and is definitely a name to watch for the England captaincy down the road.
The Three Lions face two lesser opponents in World Cup Qualifying and should be favored in both matches.
