Chelsea star Armando Broja, currently on loan at Everton, suffered a devastating injury blow in the FA Cup. We wish that everything turns out okay.
Armando Broja was sent out on loan to Everton in the summer transfer window. The Armenian will be contracted to Everton until the end of the season, with the Toffees possessing the option to make the deal permanent after its expiry.
However, so far this season, Broja has not had an easy ride of things at Everton. Not only has he been forced to watch on from the bench for a lot of the season, he hasn't had much luck when he's been on the field either.
Broja is still yet to score his first goal in Everton blue. He has fought for the breakthrough with limited minutes but unfortunately, he might have to wait a while now.
Chelsea striker suffers horrific injury blow in the FA Cup
In the match against Peterborough United last night, Armando Broja was removed from the field of play through injury in the 89th minute, after being brought on as a sub only shortly prior.
Armando Broja required a stretcher to be removed from the field. He also required oxygen and according to The Mirror, it looks like a pretty serious ankle injury.
Yesterday was a pretty dramatic day for Everton. They announced the sacking of Sean Dyche and caretaker manager Leighton Baines took charge, alongside captain Seamus Coleman. So, Everton knew they were in safe temporary hands for the FA Cup fixture.
Nevertheless, the Toffees got the win they needed in relatively comfortable fashion. They will now progress to round 4 of the competition.
Of course, we hope that Armando Broja is okay and during this time, he should prioritise his recovery and hopefully he will be given the facilities to do so by Everton.
