Chelsea are in a promising position for this campaign in the Premier League. They have no European football and have a new, highly rated manager at the helm, Xabi Alonso. This transfer window, they let go of big names such as Enzo Fernandez and even made a £60 million profit. They still made big-money signings which have no doubt strengthened the Blues.

Morgan Rogers - 9/10
He may have been costly, with a sum of £117 million paid to Aston Villa. This priced out Arsenal, but the Blues got their man, and the 3-4-2-1 system that Alonso plays allows Morgan Rogers to partner Cole Palmer as the attacking midfielders.
Rogers already has a goal and an assist in his opening two Premier League games for Chelsea. There was an argument that Rogers should start ahead of Jude Bellingham for the Blues, and the former Villa man could go to the next level at Chelsea.
Emiliano Martínez 8/10
Chelsea has needed a new goalkeeper for some time, with Robert Sanchez clearly not good enough. Emiliano Martinez is only 34, so relatively young for a goalkeeper. His character and antics should make him a hit at Stamford Bridge.
Maxence Lacroix 8/10
Maxence Lacroix is a shrewd capture for Chelsea. This is especially true as Alonso needs three top centre-backs in his formation. Lacroix has even shown he can be a threat at the other end of the pitch, as he burst forward to set up Rogers' goal in the Blues' opening game of the campaign.
Geovany Quenda 7/10
Chelsea have opted to sign more experienced players this transfer window. However, it is good that the Blues still have an eye on the future, and signing the 19-year-old Geovany Quenda could be a shrewd move.
Marco Palestra 7/10
Reece James is often deployed in midfield, and there was talk of Malo Gusto moving to Manchester City. Therefore, the Blues needed to sign a right-back, and Marco Palestra fits the mould.
Pep Chavarría 6/10

Danny Welbeck 6/10
It was a surprise to many to see Chelsea move for 35-year-old Danny Welbeck. However, it could be a smart move to have an experienced option as a backup to Pedro. Also, Welbeck had a good record for Brighton last season, scoring 13 goals in 37 Premier League games. He is already off the mark for the Blues in the division.
Jordan Henderson 6/10
Much is said about Jordan Henderson only getting in teams because he is a good influence on the group. However, there must be something to this; otherwise, Thomas Tuchel would not have taken him to the World Cup. Henderson is now 36, but still very fit, and could still do a job for the Blues in midfield, as he showed at Brentford last season.
Valentín Barco 5/10
Fernandez moving on was always on the cards; therefore, signing a new midfielder was what the Blues needed. They utilised their sister club, Strasbourg, to capture Valentín Barco. However, the Blues still wanted to sign Lamine Camara at the end of the window.
Emmanuel Emegha 4/10
Another player Chelsea signed from Strasbourg was Emmanuel Emegha, who is 6 ft 5 in. He is also only 23, so he could be an option for the Blues in the future. However, he has yet to feature in any of Chelsea's games so far. His physicality could be a great asset for the Blues in desperate situations as the season goes on.
