Chelsea has had many regrets over the years. Two of those, Kevin De Bruyne and Antonio Conte might combine in a manner which would be painstaking for the Blues fans.

Since leaving Chelsea, Kevin De Bruyne has become one of the best midfielders of all-time. That's not an exaggeration, the Belgian maestro set a completely new midfield standard at Man City, hence why a statue is being erected by the club.

It can definitely go down as a mistake for Chelsea to overlook the talent that Kevin De Bruyne always had. In fact, the Blues should toss and turn and contemplate what might have been if they noticed his talent.

Chelsea's two big regrets might reunite in the worst way possible

Kevin De Bruyne has already provided his final assist for Man City, but maybe not for European football. Indeed, Kevin De Bruyne is linked to Napoli, which might give Chelsea fans a bitter taste of what could have been.

Currently, Antonio Conte is the manager of Napoli, having just won the Scudetto. It is still up in the air about whether he'll remain in the hot seat, but Football Italia claims that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has made a transfer promise to Conte, to convince him to spend a few more days deciding about his next career move.

If Conte listens to De Laurentiis, and remains with Napoli, then there's every possibility that he could end up working with Kevin De Bruyne. It would leave a bitter taste in he mouths of Chelsea fans, and could see their two biggest regreats combine.

And yes, allowing Antonio Conte to leave was a mistake. He was only with Chelsea for a short period of time, but he's one of the best managers in recent history. A serial winner, he had the best win rate (65.09%) since Guus Hiddink's first stint (72.73%).

While Chelsea has seen some success since Conte, it was mainly due to the foundations that the Italian set at Stamford Bridge. He wasted no time in setting them either.

If the stars do align, Conte will continue to make a monster out of De Bruyne, even in the closing chapter of his career. Chelsea fans might want to look away for that one.
