A rainy night in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge. Oh, how we have missed those. A lot of Chelsea fans were left worried when Enzo Maresca named the starting XI on the night but eventually, it turned out to be a 5-1 win for the Blues. Of course, one cannot overlook the early red card that Ajax picked up. It is the kind of thing that you'd have expected the home team to do, considering their record this season.

Once Kenneth Taylor was sent off, there was no coming back for Ajax. Marc Guiu and Moises Caicedo scored quickly after that to put Chelsea 2-0 up.

But then, a poor challenge from Tosin Adarabioyo handed Ajax a penalty, which they converted, and a way back into the game. Fortunately, two back-to-back penalties for Chelsea settled the nerves and put Maresca's side 4-1 up.

Tyrique George came off the bench in the second half to add a fifth. After that, it felt like the Blues did come close on a number of occasions but could not add to their tally. There is nothing to complain about a 5-1 win in the Champions League. And in the process, they made a record as well.

As reported by OptaJoe, Chelsea are the first side in UEFA Champions League history to see three different teenagers score for them in a single match. Estevao, Guiu and George were on the scoresheet for them.

That stat just goes on to show the kind of talent that Chelsea have in their squad. George and Guiu are not even close to being starters. And while Estevao is starting to make his presence felt already, one cannot forget that he is still just 18 years of age and this is his first season in England.

This was a brilliant win for Chelsea. It also makes it four wins on the trot for them and suddenly, it looks like Maresca's side are picking up some form. Long may this run continue.
