Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday, when they face newly promoted Hull City at Stamford Bridge. The Blues were in Carabao Cup action during the week and managed to come from two behind to beat Leeds United 6-3.

Xabi Alonso's men are having no trouble finding the net, but keeping goals out seems to be another issue altogether. Before the cup game, Chelsea were narrowly beaten by Arsenal, but there were plenty of positives to take from their duel with the Premier League champions.

Hull have started the season very well, winning two of their first three Premier League games and drawing the other. The Tigers have faced Man Utd and Aston Villa within those three games, so the return is nothing to be sniffed at, and their only loss of the season so far came this week, when they lost to Sunderland in the Carabao Cup.

Ahead of Saturday's game at the Bridge, we have rounded up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides.

Elliot Matazo - Out

Matazo is out long term as he continues his recovery from an ACL rupture. His return will be around February time.

Darko Gyabi - Out

Gyabi is going to be out until late in November with a groin issue.

Jack Butland - Out

Butland has an elbow issue that will keep him sidelined until November, although there have been some suggestions he could be back a little sooner.

Ilyas Ansah - Out

Hull boss Sergej Jakirovic said last week: "Minimum six weeks. So we will see now - maybe we will send him to Germany to be at home. We signed the player, the player is good, he didn't know he has this. If we didn't send him for medical, just sign the contract, he would play until more problems."

Charlie Hughes - Out

Hughes has a groin injury that will keep him out until the second half of October.

Hidemasa Morita - Out

Morita has a groin injury that will keep him out for another week yet. Jakirovic said last week: "Morita, he is three weeks out, now two weeks, with adductor, some problems after Coventry. No, no, no [not the calf], but this is also the reason because he missed the pre-season."

Paddy McNair - Fit

McNair has been training and has been cleared to play here.

Timothy Iroegbunam - Fit

The same for Iroegbunam, with Jakirovic saying: "He is improving his fitness because also he had a problem with his adductor. He made today a very good session, so he will be on Thursday in training with the group."

Jordan Henderson - Out

Henderson still has another week or two to go. Alonso has said: "He has been training very well, but still it is frustrating for him that, even being the arm, it is taking that long. I think he is in the last stage of his recovery."

Marco Palestra - Out

Alonso said during the week: "Still not ready to go... not the moment to take too early risk. We go game-by-game with them, and it's too early."

Moises Caicedo - Doubt

Alonso said on Tuesday: "He has a problem in his calf. No, [it is not a new injury]. It was the same one he had before Brighton. I wanted to have Moi [for that game]. Probably, it was my mistake to push him too early, so that’s why I’m cautious now not to make the same mistake."

Emmanuel Emegha - Out

Alonso says he will give an update on Friday, but the striker is not ready to return yet.
