Chelsea recently transferred Joao Felix to Al-Nassr after a saga that was filled with twists and turns. Benfica were initially close to finalising a deal for the Portuguese player but Cristiano Ronaldo's side swooped in at the last minute and secured the move instead. Of course, the Blues would have been happy as well.

Chelsea were able to recover almost all of the amount they had spent to sign the Portuguese international, which was an added bonus for the club. Now, it looks like Al-Nassr have come knocking on the Blues’ doors once again for another player. And no, it’s not Marc Cucurella, so fans don’t need to get all anxious.

Instead, it is Cucurella's cover option. As reported by The Chelsea Chronicle, Al-Nassr want Chelsea’s Renato Veiga after the Felix signing.

Not too long ago, Atletico Madrid were heavily linked with the player but have signed David Hancko instead. So the Spanish club is likely out of contention for the player.

Al-Nassr considering a move for Chelsea defender Renato Veiga

Veiga joined the Blues just last summer for a fee of around £12 million, and Chelsea are expected to get a major profit with this transfer. The Portuguese international had more than a decent campaign, first with the English club and then on loan at Juventus in the second half of the season, where he successfully nailed down a starting spot.

However, with Chelsea already reaching an agreement for Jorrel Hato and a number of other pre-existing centre-backs already available to Enzo Maresca, the Portuguese international does not seem to have a place in the plans at Stamford Bridge. So, an exit makes sense for all parties.

It’s now seems only a matter of time before Chelsea manage to find a club for Veiga. As for where the Portuguese defender eventually ends up, that remains to be seen.
