One of the biggest transfer stories this summer will be whether or not Enzo Fernandez leaves Chelsea.
The Argentine has flirted with the prospect of joining Real Madrid for most of the year. Comments he made during a recent interview about wanting to live in Madrid earned him a two-game ban.
Speculation surrounding the midfielder's future didn't end there, though. Madrid, who have recently reappointed Jose Mourinho, need to sign a new central midfielder, and there is genuine interest in Fernandez.
Emmanuel Petit knows who Real Madrid should offer in exchange for Enzo Fernandez
Due to Fernandez being under contract until 2032, Chelsea are under no pressure to sell. It would take Real Madrid to make a massive offer, believed to be around £120 million, to get the Blues even consider letting the South American leave.
Because of this, Los Blancos are likely to need to sweeten the deal, and former player Emmanuel Petit thinks he's knows which player Chelsea should ask to be included in exchange.
In an interview with BetVictor, via Football London, the former Chelsea midfielder picked out Eduardo Camavinga as a 'great fit'.
"Eduardo Camavinga in a swap deal with Enzo Fernandez? Why not? Camavinga is still a very young player," he said.
"He left Rennes for Madrid when he was eighteen years old, and he has played for six or seven years for Real Madrid. He has won some big trophies too. This guy has been an amazing young prospect.
"I cannot judge his level for the last two seasons with what's going on at the club. You have so many players that didn't play well for Real Madrid for different reasons.
"Camavinga can be very good because we know that at Chelsea, most of them are young players. He's got experience. When you come from Real Madrid to Chelsea, having won many trophies and played there for so many years, and you play for the national team, you arrive at the club with experience that's probably missing at Chelsea. Camavinga is a talented player; he would be a great fit."
Camavinga, currently valued at £50 million, has three years left on his contract with Los Blancos. During his five years at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Frenchman has been directly involved in 17 goals in 223 games in all competitions.
The 23-year-old already has a wealth of winning experience. His time in the Spanish capital has seen him lift 11 major trophies, including two Champions Leagues.
