The Chelsea goalkeeping ranks seem pretty unsettled right now. Robert Sanchez was the number one last season while Filip Jorgensen played in cup games. Djordje Petrovic was arguably the club's most consistent goalkeeper, but away on loan at Strasbourg. Now, there are quetion marks over the future of all three.

Neither Sanchez nor Jorgensen did well enough to be considered the first-choice. But despite that, it looks like Enzo Maresca does not view Petrovic as his number one either.

It has been claimed in the media that Petrovic asked to be left out of the Club World Cup squad and is focusing on a move away. On the other hand, Chelsea tried and failed to sign Mike Maginan from AC Milan.

Amid all this, another goalkeeper is on his way out of Stamford Bridge, although his situation won't grab as many headlines. As reported by Football Insider, Bolton Wanderers have agreed a deal to sign Teddy Sharman-Lowe on loan. The 22-year-old is set to spend the season playing in League One.

Of course, Sharman-Lowe had little to no chance of breaking into the first-team plans at Chelsea. So, his exit is not going to have a major effect on the side.

We can only wish him the best at Bolton Wanderers though. This is the fifth loan spell of the English youth international's career at 22 years of age.

Perhaps the time has come for a permanent move somewhere in the future. Of course, a positive loan spell somewhere would help him gain that. Perhaps this stint at Bolton Wanderers is his big chance.

As for Chelsea, the goalkeeping situation remains uncertain and fluid. One can only hope that it does not become an issue at the Club World Cup. Who will be the number one there?
