It looks like Chelsea might be the best team in the world when it comes to securing transfer exits. Yes, they have made some bad decisions in the past. But it looks like even when moves have not worked out for the Blues, they find a way to bring in high enough fees that they do not end up suffering much of a loss.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is set to join Everton for a £29 million transfer package. Lesley Ugochukwu is headed to Burnley for a fee north of £20 million. And it looks like a third midfielder is on the verge of the exit door as well.

In recent days, Carney Chukwuemeka has been linked to both Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig. It is the former that he seems to prefer, having spent time out on loan there last season.

A return to Signal Iduna Park might be getting closer as well. As reported by TBR Football, have reduced their asking price to around £22 million, which Borussia Dortmund are seemingly ready to pay. The expectation from both parties is that a deal is done.

So, it appears that Chukwuemeka is the next player who could be headed for the exit door. He is certainly someone who does not seem to have much of a future in Chelsea's stacked midfield, which could get even stronger if they are successful in signing Xavi Simons.

Chukwuemeka is a talent, there is no doubt about that. And for a little while, it had looked like he could end up competing for a starting berth at Chelsea.

He ended up suffering an injury at the wrong time though. And then, there was the emergence of Cole Palmer. The rest is history. But what does the future hold for Chukwuemeka?
