Cole Palmer: 7/10
Chelsea once again turned to Palmer to come up with the goods, and while he created a big chance, he didn't do much else. Granted, a big chance is valuable. His ball carrying was good too—while he wasn't dazzling, he was solid.
Jadon Sancho: 7/10
Sancho attempted many dribbles, but not much came of them. He did win some important fouls, and to his credit, contributed defensively, but made no difference for the Blues in the final third.
Nicolas Jackson: 5/10
Jackson was uncharacteristically poor. He squandered two good chances to give the Blues the lead, and although his dribbling was subpar, he was quite busy throughout the game.
Christopher Nkunku: 4/10
Nkunku had no impact on the game, attempting only two passes in the 15 minutes he spent on the pitch. This is partly a credit to Everton’s organization, but also reflects the Frenchman’s inability to impose himself on the game.
Noni Madueke: 4/10
Madueke was more poor than anonymous when he came on. Unlike Nkunku, he tried things, but they didn’t come off. His dribbling was poor, and he lost all but one of his duels. Ultimately, he was as ineffective as Nkunku.
Enzo Maresca: 6/10
Maresca had the chance to make three more substitutions but chose not to. The changes he did make had no impact. One could argue he was resting some players on the bench, possibly planning to use them in the Boxing Day west London derby fixture against Fulham.
