The Blues are on a roll today. After being one of the busiest clubs throughout the summer, they appear to be staying that way until the end of the transfer window. Earlier today, Chelsea accepted AC Milan's offer of €42 million for Christopher Nkunku. And now it seems that a long-awaited signing has been agreed as well.

Ever since signing a number of players in the initial weeks of the window, Chelsea lately shifted their focus on departures to clear space in the squad as well as raise funds for their other targets. They were really pushing hard for two players, Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig and Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United. And the latest development is regarding the latter.

Garnacho became a member of Manchester United's transfer list long ago and wanted to leave this summer. Although he had no shortage of suitors, he preferred to stay in the Premier League and play for a Champions League side, making Chelsea the favourites to sign him.

The Blues have been long-time admirers of the Argentine winger, and he was also keen to join them and had reportedly agreed to personal terms weeks ago. He also turned down recent approaches from Bayern Munich and the Saudi Pro League for a move to Stamford Bridge. And it seems like he is set to get his wish now.

Fabrizio Romano has now given his famous 'here we go' to the Garnacho to Chelsea deal. He reports that the two clubs have agreed. The Argentine will sign a seven-year deal at the club for a fee close to £40 million in total.

The Argentine international becomes Chelsea's fifth addition of the summer, after Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, and Jorrel Hato. Garnacho would probably be competing with the former Borussia Dortmund man for a starting spot as both play on the left flank.

Although the 21-year-old hasn't had a great time at Old Trafford lately, but there is no doubt that he has huge potential. Hopefully, this change of scenery will allow him to rediscover himself and win many trophies for the Blues.
