The countdown is on for football gamers, with the release of FC 27 now little more than a month away. Ahead of its release on September 25, Chelsea’s player ratings have been revealed, with a few surprises in the official rankings.
Cole Palmer is widely considered Chelsea’s best and most influential player, but the England attacking midfielder does not top the club’s official ratings, with his overall score dropping from last year.
Palmer’s previous rating of 87 has fallen by two points to 85 following a disappointing season in which he scored 10 goals and provided one assist. His performances were a significant drop from his impressive first season at Stamford Bridge.

He is beaten by a pair of elite Chelsea midfielders. Enzo Fernández, who has risen two points to 86, and Moisés Caicedo, who has dropped one point to 86. Together, the midfield duo would provide a formidable partnership for anyone choosing Chelsea in the gaming world.
The Argentine certainly has the quality to justify his £120 million price tag, having scored 15 goals last season, but will we see him in a Chelsea shirt next season?
The official rankings
Electronic Arts (EA) have certainly done Chelsea good with the ratings given the club’s tenth place finish, seeing Joao Pedro and Valentin Barco increase by four, while Reece James and Maxence Lacroix also upping by three.
Morgan Rogers has improved by two so has the experienced Danny Welbeck from his move and impressive Brighton form.
