Chelsea’s shortcomings were once again brought to the fore as they had to settle for a 2-2 draw in their latest Premier League matchup against Brentford. The Blues were winning until the final minutes of the match after pulling off a comeback from 0-1 down to make it 2-1 up through goals from Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo. Unfortunately, they failed to see it through.

Nevertheless, what’s done is done and there’s no point dwelling on it for too long. Chelsea are set to face Bayern Munich next in the Champions League as the London club returns to the competition after a two-year absence. The Blues will need to find solutions quickly if they wish to start their campaign with a victory.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich were in the news recently as the Nicolas Jackson saga unfolded. The player ultimately completed his season-long move to the Bundesliga with an obligation to make it permanent.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, who will know a thing or two about Chelsea, having played for their city rivals Tottenham Hotspur for a long period, has recently spoken highly about his new teammate. And that could be a worry for the Blues.

Harry Kane speaks highly of new teammate Nicolas Jackson before facing Chelsea

As reported by Goal, Kane said about Jackson:

"If you follow the Premier League, you can see that he has many good attributes. He creates a lot of chances. And he's here to help the team. We're already working together in training and finishing together.

"I feel he can have a big impact for us this season, with his speed, his movement, and his goals. He's a great addition for us. I didn't know him very well. We played against him in the summer [England vs Senegal], and he made a very good impression, he played a really good game."

Jackson, who was the primary striker for Chelsea over the past two seasons, has been replaced by Joao Pedro and Liam Delap this summer. Both of them have been performing well, although the latter will be out for a while after picking up an injury against Fulham.

It will be interesting to see if Jackson makes an appearance for Bayern Munich in the matchup against Chelsea. There are no rules preventing him from doing it.

The Senegalese international has already made his debut against Hamburger SV and even provided an assist. The German club have won all of their matches this season till now. So, Chelsea will have to be at their best to change that.
