Under the new ownership, Chelsea have been very active in the summer transfer window and signed a lot of players, spending over a billion pounds. Despite doing so, they are no closer to competing for the Premier League or the Champions League. On top of that, they are now having to work hard to stay with financial rules set by UEFA. Do not be surprised if more first-team players leave Chelsea in the future, having failed to establish themselves as first-team starters or due to the arrival of other players in their position. And one of the names on that list could be that of Malo Gusto.
One of Chelsea's best players during the 23/24 season, which was also his debut campaign for the club, Gusto has struggled to recapture that form in Enzo Maresca's system. On the other hand, Reece James looks a lot fitter now than he has in years. And then there are the rumours linking the Blues with Guela Doue. All of that combined and an exit could be on the cards for the Frenchman.
Juventus frontrunners to sign Chelsea player and readying €50m offer
As reported by Fichajes, Juventus are leading the pack to sign Gusto. They are preparing a €50 million offer for next summer.
It would not be a surprise if someone like Gusto heads to Juventus and proves to be a success story. In the right system, he has been fantastic for Chelsea as well. Perhaps the Italian side will provide him with that.
As for Chelsea, the right-back situation would be sorted if they do end up signing Doue from Strasbourg in the summer. They have James as well and Josh Acheampong is adept at playing in the position too. So, if the right offer comes in for Gusto, it would be worth considering.thepr
