Liam Rosenior is one of the best man-to-man coaches in the world. It might seem far fetched to say that, but name a coach that spends as much time as him forming close relationships with his players.

It is evident within only his first month that Liam Rosenior has got Chelsea players on his side. There would have been a few that would've immediately hated watching Enzo Maresca leave, but even the most stubborn Chelsea players are warming to Liam Rosenior now.

One player who didn't know much differently was Joao Pedro. The former Brighton striker was signed by Enzo Maresca in the summer, and he's now working with his second head coach in a short stint of time at Stamford Bridge.

Liam Rosenior is getting the best out of Joao Pedro at Chelsea

It's immediately evident that Joao Pedro has benefited from working with Liam Rosenior. Since Rosenior took over, Pedro has scored five goals and provided one assist in six games. That's an average of one goal involvement per game under his new manager.

Obviously, this is a short period of time to judge Pedro for. However, looking at the small data pool, it's hard to ignore the impact that Rosenior has had on him.

Even looking outside of the pitch, Pedro appears to be buzzing with joy in every media participation and his social media presence. That confidence, in turn, feeds into his on-field persona.

As Liam Rosenior looks ahead, he could have easily made some reckless decisions with his starting XI. After all, he came in during the heat of the January transfer window and, let's face it, Chelsea has never been known to be frugal in the transfer market.

Instead, though, Rosenior tested the waters with his current players, and he's now reaping the rewards. Ultimately, nothing bad could've occurred from Rosenior establishing some trust with players like Joao Pedro.

Next up, Chelsea faces Arsenal in the EFL Cup second leg. The Blues head into the tie one goal behind, and needing a big result at the Emirates Stadium to make the final.

The reverse fixture is the only game that Liam Rosenior has lost during his tenure. Interestingly, it is one of just two games that Joao Pedro has not scored in during the same time frame. Both parties will look to turn their fortunes around in the second leg, but it's a tall ask against the best team in England right now.
