Chelsea lifted the FIFA Club World Cup, soundly defeating the Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the final on Sunday. It was arguably the Blues' best performance under the management of Enzo Maresca, with Cole Palmer brilliantly scoring twice and Joao Pedro adding a delightful third.

As for matters off the field, the Blues have so far benefited from the transfer window as they have managed to bring in players like Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and others. However, their plans to strengthen don't seem to stop there, as a number of others are still being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Alejandro Garnacho is one of several players on Manchester United's transfer list, as the club looks to say goodbye to quite a few. Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the winger in recent months. They're not alone though, Napoli and Al Nassr are also pursuing the Argentine.

Garnacho also wants to leave, but it appears that he is unwilling to accept any offer that comes his way. According to Mike McGrath, he has rejected an opportunity to pursue a move to Al Nassr and is prioritising Europe.

It has been suggested that Garnacho is keen to remain in the Premier League. Could Chelsea offer him that chance? The Blues have already signed Jamie Gittens this summer. But with Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho leaving, and Mykhailo Mudryk's future unclear, a move for the Argentine might not be completely off the table yet.

As reported by TBR Football, Chelsea are still keen to sign Garnacho. They retain an active interest in the Argentine and have had recent contact with his people.

Last month, The Telegraph reported that Chelsea and Man Utd were exploring a swap deal that would send Garnacho to West London and Christopher Nkunku to Old Trafford. Could that still be a possibility?

Also, last month, the Mirror claimed that Man Utd had lowered their asking price. They had previously set it at around £60m, but an offer closer to £40m may now be sufficient to get Garnacho's signing done.

The future of Garnacho is still uncertain. Will Man Utd and Chelsea reach an agreement over a transfer move for the Argentine international?
