With less than two weeks left for the winter transfer window, the rumour mill is in full flow. Several players have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge recently, while a few players have been linked with exits as well. Meanwhile, there has been a new development in this regard, with two major clubs reportedly interested in one of Chelsea's players.

The player in question is Chelsea's young defender Josh Acheampong, who has begun to establish himself at Stamford Bridge. The 19-year-old has already made 11 appearances across all competitions this season and has scored one goal.

Acheampong is certainly good enough to play more regularly than he has this season, as the England youth international has only made five Premier League appearances. Enzo Maresca has often complimented him in the media, but the teenager hasn't played a single league game since October. And it appears that two of Europe's top clubs have taken note of him and are reportedly interested in signing him.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have expressed interest in Acheampong. As of now, Chelsea has no intention of approving the departure of their academy graduate, whether permanently or on loan.

Potential suitors will keep an eye on Acheampong's situation and may make a move if his playing time does not improve. Let's see whether things improve for him or not.

Despite the weight of these suitors, a transfer seems highly unlikely, especially considering Chelsea's stance and Acheampong's commitment to the club. The teenager is said to be focused on his development at Chelsea, while the West London club also believes he is on the right path by staying at Stamford Bridge.

However, Acheampong's game time needs to improve quickly, otherwise his Chelsea situation will undoubtedly get tricky. It would definitely be a huge setback for the Blues to lose a homegrown talent like him without providing him with enough opportunities.
