Chelsea not only failed to secure a win but was also fortunate to escape with one point from Old Trafford against Manchester United in the marquee fixture of the weekend. Enzo Maresca's men were largely controlled by Ruud Van Nistelrooy's Red Devils.

Man United's strategy was to counter, and Chelsea inadvertently set things up nicely for Nistelrooy's side. In the end, the home side had three clear-cut chances to score, all of which they failed to convert. The Blues, however, managed to equalize with a spectacular goal from Moises Caicedo, giving some fans the impression that Maresca's men performed better than they actually did.

There were some standout performances, but here’s how the Pride of London believes the Blues fared.

Robert Sanchez: 6/10

Sanchez will be remembered for conceding the penalty that handed Man United the lead, but it’s worth noting that the only shot he faced came from the spot. That said, it was a careless foul to concede.

Malo Gusto: 5.5/10

Gusto was ineffective against the Red Devils, losing every duel he contested and struggling on the ball. He won 0/1 tackle, lost all 3 ground duels, and completed 0/3 crosses. His substitution at halftime was warranted.

Wesley Fofana: 7.5/10

Fofana was Chelsea's best defender on the night, and one could argue he was the best player overall. He was dominant in his duels, winning 6/9 ground duels and 5/6 aerial duels, and he was successful in his tackles. However, his passing was subpar, and he committed too many fouls.
