Marc Cucurella just said the quiet Adama Traoré truth out loud

You can always rely on Cucurella to stir the pot.

Marc Cucurella is quite frankly hilarious. You know you've got an efficient defender on your hands when rival fans hate the mere mention of his name.

Cucurella's dark arts were once again on full display in the recent match against West Ham. The Spanish full-back noticed a hot-tempered Adama Traoré, which can never be a promising sight, and put his beak in to only wind Adama up more.

To be completely honest, you wouldn't want any other Chelsea player there except for Marc Cucurella. He has never been shy to wind opposing players up, even if he is at a physical disadvantage.

Marc Cucurella didn’t sugarcoat the Adama Traoré reality

Hilariously, Marc Cucurella has noticed that, and even played on it. He's thrown more gas onto the fire by stating that he wound Adama up on purpose, and if it wasn't for João Pedro, he has no clue what he would have done.

In his own words (translated from Spanish to English), Marc Cucurella said: "I stood up and saw I was close to [Adama Traoré]. So I thought, 'I'll stick my head in a little and see if I can stir things up,' and he grabbed me, threw me where he could, and a big brawl broke out. Pedro saved my life, honestly, if I were him, I would've run backwards."

Pedro, thankfully for Cucurella, intervened and put his own self at risk of the Adama rampage. Had it not been for his shoving of Adama, it might have been Cucurella, who was on the floor, that felt the impact.

Thankfully, nothing serious happened. This was just a case of football players being football players, something we've seen a million times before.

Chelsea went onto to win the game, and Marc Cucurella was brutally honest that he wouldn't have stood a chance against Adama Traoré.

Every Chelsea fan was thinking it, but nobody dared to mention it. If anything, it only makes it more hilarious that Marc Cucurella would even throw himself in the firing line. He had nothing to achieve there except for winding Adama up, and he only did it for the love of the game.

Chelsea is not scheduled to play West Ham again this season, so unfortunately, fans won't grab their popcorn for season two of this new age rivalry. Still, we might see Adama respond to Marc Cucurella in the media sometime soon.
