We were all thinking it, Marc Guiu was just the one to say it.

There is no denying that Chelsea player Marc Guiu is a talented striker. He has shown in the limited minutes he has received as a player during his stint at Chelsea that even though he is far from the polished star the Blues want him to be, he at least has all the ingredients.

Guiu is quick, he is tenacious, the way he moves on and off the ball is good. His finishing is solid, and there are lots of things he can improve even more in.

However, he has not played much. Guiu was brought back to Chelsea prematurely to be able to play in Liam Delap's absence, but that just has not happened.

He has played just 76 minutes this season, and he has no goals or assists, but what he has done in the last two games for the Blues is something worth noting.

Guiu talked to Enzo Maresca about his minutes before Chelsea vs Liverpool

Before the Liverpool game, Guiu talked to manager Enzo Maresca about his minutes. He was asking him why he has not played much, and clearly was itching to participate as soon as possible, and as much as possible.

That is according to The Athletic, who did a report about Guiu's request to Maresca, and the manager's response to it as well.

Chelsea fans have been wondering the same thing as well, as despite being brought back to London, the striker has not featured as much as he would have expected to after cutting a loan deal short.

Maresca spoke calmly and politely - as did Guiu - and told him that his minutes will come soon if he keeps doing well in training.

Guiu did have a big impact on the two games he played, despite coming off the bench. His movement against Liverpool dragged Virgil Van Dijk out of position, which indirectly resulted in a goal for Estêvão in the final minutes of the game.

Two weeks later, a similar thing happened. Guiu played 45 minutes - which was a clear improvement - and his efforts constantly annoying the defensive line clearly helped a lot as he was once again indirectly involved in Chelsea's first two goals.

This exchange shows a lot of maturity from Guiu. He did not cause a scene, it was never a question about his attitude. He simply wanted to know what he can do to improve and increase his minutes.

By the swing of things, that is exactly what he is doing.
