Midfielders

Moisés Caicedo: 8/10

Caicedo was once again impressive in and out of possession. His distribution was excellent, and he played a crucial role in winning the ball back, registering an impressive eight tackles. He tried to give the Blues some semblance of control in midfield. Caicedo may be the only Chelsea player on the day to have a poisitive impact on the match.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 3/10

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall didn’t do much to support Caicedo, which was an issue as it was supposed to be a double pivot. He wasn’t involved in midfield much and didn’t contribute significantly, so Chelsea would have been better off without him. KDH was subbed off in the 59th minute and there are concerns he may not be Chelsea quality.

Cole Palmer: 5/10

Palmer enjoyed some luck when his cross-shot was palmed into the goal by Brighton's Bart Verbruggen. He created no chances and took Chelsea’s only shot on target.
