There are only a handful of players Chelsea are unwilling to sell this summer.
The Blues have labelled just seven players as 'untouchable'.
Estevao, Joao Pedro, Reece James, Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill and Josh Acheampong are not for sale. Everyone else has been made available for transfer.
However, despite the club's strong stance, there is one player who is seeking answers to some unanswered questions relating to his potential playing time next season.
Xabi Alonso facing Josh Acheampong problem
Although Xabi Alonso has yet to manage his first match, he's made a strong start to life at Chelsea. The Blues' transfer business so far this window — something the new manager is heavily involved with — has been impressive.
And away from the boardroom, the Spaniard is overseeing the team's pre-season tour of Australia and Asia and will be hoping to get off to a winning start when the Blues play Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday.
It isn't all plain sailing for the 44-year-old though. Alonso must find a way to factor Acheampong into his plans or he'll risk unsettling the young defender.
The London-born starlet, who has three years left on his £5,000-per week contract, started just eight Premier League matches last season .
And according to the Liverpool Echo, the 20-year-old has yet to be given assurances over his playing time next season leaving his agents demanding answers.
Liverpool could make surprise approach
This uncertainty, which hasn't gone down well in the Acheampong camp, has alerted Liverpool after Joe Gomez was injured just seven minutes into the Reds' opening pre-season friendly against Sunderland in Nashville on Saturday.
Speaking after Liverpool's 4-2 win over the Black Cats, Andoni Iraola said: "Probably the worst news has been straight away the injury of Joe. We were happy because we were going through training without losing any players and unluckily for us we've lost Joe straight away."
It remains unknown how long Gomez's muscle injury will keep him out for but he's almost-certain to miss the start of the season, and that could force Liverpool into the market in search of a versatile defender.
Their links to Acheampong aren't overly surprising. The Cobham academy graduate would be a great addition for any Premier League club.
Not only is the young defender capable of playing in several defensive position, but his homegrown status means he would qualify as an association-trained player in Liverpool's 25-man Champions League squad, while his age allows him to be registered as a 'free' Under-21 player domestically.
