2. Players Standing Out

One of the players under the most scrutiny in recent matches was Christopher Nkunku. Being benched for a long period before returning to the starting lineup when the team was on a poor run didn't help his case. However, on Tuesday, Nkunku showed glimpses of the player he truly is. He did brilliantly to hold off William Smallbone before opening the scoring for Chelsea. Later, he provided a perfectly weighted pass for Pedro Neto, who extended Chelsea’s lead.

Meanwhile, Pedro Neto led the line for the second consecutive game. He showed clear improvement in his overall play after just one match as a forward. He stretched the defense, remained a constant threat, and created space for others to exploit.

In midfield, Enzo Fernández had another fantastic game. Marc Cucurella was excellent, winning the Player of the Match award. Tosin Adarabioyo repeatedly looked to find runners with his long balls. Meanwhile, Filip Jorgensen finally secured his clean sheet and delivered a composed performance in goal.
