Chelsea's 2023-24 season came to a strong end with five wins on the bounce which secured a sixth-place finish and a guaranteed European club competition place. But the positive mood around the fanbase evaporated quickly as Mauricio Pochettino left the club on mutual consent just after one season.

This dismissal came as a surprise to the fans seeing the fact that everything seemed to be coming together for the team and a time when stability was of the utmost importance for the team, does another managerial change make any sense?

On the pitch, things might have started to click finally but the damage was already done behind the scenes with Pochettino calling out the squad construction as flawed and showcasing a disgruntled figure whenever questioned about his future at the club.

It was clear to see that the vision of the club's hierarchy and Mauricio Pochettino was not the same as the West London side wanted a head coach to coach the players and focus only on the field with the players given to him. But the Argentine manager wanted a bit more authority in terms of buying and selling players in the upcoming transfer window which seems as one of the major issues why the former Spurs manager left the club.

In this four-part article series, we will delve into each Chelsea player's season performance and whether they should be a part of the club in the upcoming season which is more than pivotal for the hierarchy to prove themselves to a divided fanbase around the globe.
